Q: What Risks Are Involved By Traveling Overseas for Medical procedures?
A: All medical treatment and surgical procedures carries risks, although the risks are no greater using a qualified representative or having procedures conducted in Thailand, in comparison to Australia. We still take surgery very seriously, and Australia has had numerous complications in the media due to inexperienced GP's or Cosmetic surgeons conducting inexperienced procedures. The advantage of using AAB is that you receive a qualified surgeon for the procedure selected.
Q: Why Have Surgery In Thailand and Not Malaysia?
A: You Have Chosen One Of The Best destinations In The World for medical procedures! No Other Country In The World Welcomes So Many Medical Tourists Each Year, with our main supplier treating more than 400,000 International clients annually, and rated as one of the world's top 10 hospitals. The reasons are quite simple: excellent health care facilities with International JCI and ISO standards, with American and Australian executives managing many of these hospitals, this alone should restore some confidence. Malaysia may be marginally cheaper, however has proven not to be a desired destination, with local GP's and Cosmetic surgeons conducting plastic surgery procedures with dramatic results. Q: Can I choose another destination?
A: We have sourced the best surgeons and hospitals in Bangkok, Phuket, Philippines, India, Argentina and Dubai with other destinations available on request. If you are serious about choosing another destination outside of Thailand we are able to arrange your procedures. Many Americans have chosen alternative locations due to associated costs and convenience.
Q: Why choose AAB over a travel agent?
A: Many travel agents are expanding their services in the medical market, as they have identified the leading trend to the Medi Travel boom making additional money on their travel services by gaining commissions on airlines, transfers and accommodation, including tours, and advertising recovery at isolated holiday destinations with extended vacations. The travel industry have extended knowledge in tourism, but limited, or no knowledge in the medical field. The lack of information provided by travel agents to clients can create a problem if you are not properly advised leading to your surgery, and are not informed of your post op expectations and limitations. At AAB we are foremost experienced in Medical procedures with the added advantage of travel, ensuring your procedures are properly organized and coordinated. Travel agents source on ground post operative care, with minimal after care and support. This practice greatly concerns AAB, as the growth on Medical Tourism grows so will the increased complications, as inexperienced travel agents arrange or assist to arrange medical procedures.
Q: Can I travel alone to have surgery?
