Surgical procedure:

Pre Operative Care:
Inform your surgeon of any allergies, any medical conditions, and medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
Avoid aspirin and aspirin-containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery. Do not smoke for 2 weeks prior to surgery as this may effect your reaction to the anesthetic and the healing process.

Post Operative Care:
Recovery is between one to two weeks. Although you may have some discomfort during this time, most people are happy with the result and may return to work after approx. 2 weeks. You are not permitted to do any strenuous activity, or participate in gym work for approx. six weeks following surgery.
Risks and complications:
All operations have some risks. With this procedure the risks are minimal although the most common risks associated with this surgery is swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, and some numbness, or a change in sensation to the affected area, this should improve after nerve damage has repaired itself, which may take up to 12 months.
